I think that it is really important to broaden our horizons when we look for material to stimulate our kids. I love using things that in theory are for grown ups but that they can also find interesting and enjoy.
Here you have two examples. The Swedish band Herman Dune made this video that grown up love (the anti-folk genre is so cool at the moment and the protagonist is Jon Hamm, Don Draper in the TV Series Mad Men) and my girls find it funny too. The protagonist’s friend will help those kids that are scared of monsters because it is just adorable.
And what about Sharon Montrose‘s wonderful world? She is an animal photographer and has just released an amazing book. Forget Peppa Pig or the Care Bears, real animals are just the cutest.
