Lately everybody’s talking about homework. The increasingly heavy load of homework of our schools has brought lots of complains from families that want more time to play with their kids after school.

Personally I think that sitting with them to help is not the answer. Kids need to learn autonomy and independence, they need to learn the value of knowledge and they should do their homework because they want to, not because they have to.

What I like, though, is to play with homework. When you play with maths, science or language you are teaching your kids that learning can be fun and that any subject, with a little bit of creativity, can become exciting.

These are some of the games we play at home:

What about you? Do you play with your kids’ homework? What tools do you use? Don’t forget to share them below, I’ll love to try them with my girls.
